New Cake flavours to premiere at Piccadilly Farmers Market this weekend, 26th & 27th June

Pimms and lemonade, Wimbledon, picnics in the park …. yep just some of the things we love about our great British summer. Unfortunately, we can’t make picnic in the park flavour cakes (not sure they’d taste that great anyway) but we have been busy creating some new summery taste combinations like blueberry and lemon and a tribute to Wimbledon in the form of strawberry cheesecake.
Our new additions to the cake family will be making their first outing at this weekend’s farmers market at Piccadilly Gardens (Friday 26th & Saturday 27th). We are reliably informed by the weather dudes at the met office that it’s going to be a warm one so why not come down and say hello!
P.S. It’s our birthday too this weekend – ‘And The Dish Ran Away With The Spoon’ we will be the grand old age of 1… doesn’t time fly when you are having fun!

When Didsbury-based boutique, ‘In All Her Finery’ asked us if we would supply some cakes for their fortnightly Cake and Cava Sale nights we jumped at the chance…cake and fizz, we simply cannot think of a better combination (although cake and a good cup of tea does come a close second!)
In All her Finery specialises in jewellery, handbags, perfume, toiletries, fine chocolates, and Burlesque accessories, and is the perfect place to pick up an unusual gift – check out their website www.inallherfinery.co.uk
On the cake front, we decided to opt for a combination of choc, vanilla and raspberry with some funky purple toppings to match the shops fab purple colour scheme!
And The Dish Ran Away With The Spoon voted as one of the top 5 destinations for cake in Manchester by tastemanchester.com!

No-one likes a big-head but every once in a while a good reason comes along to give yourself a jolly good pat on the back, so please just indulge us for a couple of minutes and allow us to blow our own trumpet….
The lovely people at tastemanchester.com (who we’ve always known to have a discerning sweet tooth!) have voted our yummy treats as being in their top 5 cake choices in Manchester, alongside cake titans Slattery’s and even Selfridges! As you can imagine we are pretty chuffed to say the least. Give us a call and we can whip you up a batch so you can taste what all the fuss is about! Alternatively, come and see us at Feast – Picnic in the Park this Sunday, where will be serving up cupcakes, brownies and slices from 11am- 6pm.
P.S. Check out these birthday cupcakes that we made for Debs at the weekend, pink and brown – such a good colour combo we think!
