It hardly seems like 5 minutes since we were last at the Food & Drink Festival and here it is upon us again! This year we will be donning our aprons again and crossing our fingers that the sun will shine over St. Anns Square. On offer will be a selection of our cupcakes, brownies and slices (new appearance for the gingercake with lemon zest icing). We will also be showcasing what goodies we will have available for purchase this Christmas so if you know what’s good for you (and cake is definitely good for you), get yourselves down to the stall and say hello 
P.S. Please be extra nice to Jackie (mum) who will be staffing the stall for us this week – she’s a star!

It’s that time of the month again and to celebrate the official start of autumn,
we have rung in
some changes for this weekend’s market. New goodies
to get your chops round include lovely chewy cranberry & white chocolate flapjacks, rocky road and a new cupcake in everybody’s favourite ice cream flavour ….. rum & raisin!
Don’t worry all the usual suspects will still be present, including the chocolate orange brownie which went down a storm last month with the lunchtime diners of Piccadilly!

Hoorah, some clever clogs in the baking world has decided to create a National Cupcake Week which is running from 14th – 19th September. To celebrate, we are asking all you budding bakers and cupcake enthusiasts out there to get involved and send us your cupcake recipe ideas.
Simply drop us an email to thebaker@dishandspoonfood.co.uk with your recipe idea along with a catchy name for your little creation. We will select and test our favourites and the creator of the winning cupcake recipe will receive a box of 12 cupcakes by way of a thankyou. We will also feature said cupcake on our website as flavour of the month and give you a big fat name check too!!

Competition is open to all, we don’t like to be cupcake-ist here although the closing date is 20/09/09. Winning cupcakes will be delivered for free within 5-mile radius of M21 and free pick-up is also available. Outside of this boundary, a small delivery charge will apply
