OUR DIDSBURY CAKE SHOP & TEA TOOM IS (FINALLY) OPENING ITS DOORS ON FRIDAY 15TH OCTOBER!

Monday, September 27th, 2010

opening-blogOk…so we hold up our hands and admit we are later than we promised with this, but as the saying goes, better late then never! We are very excited to announce that our tea-room & cake shop will be throwing open its doors to the cake loving masses of Didsbury on 15th October. There will be lots of yummy sweet things, lovely gifts and bits to buy, free tasters and opening weekend goodie bags!

We’re very much looking forward to becoming part of the Burton Road crowd and can’t wait to serve up some tea and cake to you, our lovely customers!

If you need a sweet fix between now and then, we will be at FEAST in Manchester city centre on St. Ann’s Square serving up our wares from 29th September to 10th October.

We hope to see you soon!

3 WEDDINGS, WESTFEST AND A CAKE COLLABORATION IN DIDSBURY!

Monday, September 6th, 2010

Wowser… what a weekend. Not content with taking on 3 very big weddings this weekend (one of which was up in Whitby!), we gave the good people of West Didsbury a sneak peak preview of our soon-to-open cake shop on Burton Road & a cake collaboration with David Gavin interior design on the very same Burton Road.westfest

The sun shone, the cakes sold at lightning speed and Burton Road looked awesome as everyone threw open their doors and let their imaginations run wild. I think best use of prop has to go to Silver Apples and their scarecrow (drinking a bottle of Bombay Sapphire no less!). We loved every minute and were a little bit giddy by the end of the weekend at the amount of lovely comments from our would-be customers when we open.

Pin the wooden spoon on Delia went down a storm as did our new white choc & hazelnut brownies and the limoncello cupcake!

Now onto the thanks …. Very big one to Didsbury Life who organised the whole shindig, thanks to Lynsey without whom we would have quite frankly been stuck on Saturday and to T&G for their stupendous box making and bag stamping efforts on Sunday. Last but definitely not least (sorry this is turning into an Oscars acceptance speech!) thanks to all you lovely customers who bought one of our goodies…lots more to come soon J
