‘And the dish ran away with the spoon’ can provide beautiful wedding cupcake and fairycake towers that will act as the perfect centrepiece for your special day. We can ice your cakes in absolutely any colour and even personalise them with photos. We also have an unbelievable amount of sprinkles, both traditional and contemporary, so whatever your wedding theme or style we can produce a selection of beautiful wedding cupcakes to match.
We offer any size of cupcake in any of our delicious flavour combinations, ensuring that there’s something to please every guest (even those on diets!) on your big day! We also offer a selection of our delicious brownies and biscuits as wedding favours or an alternative cake centrepiece, and can provide simple and elegant top cakes.

Consultation
We offer free consultations at our West Didsbury Cake Shop and Tea Room where we discuss your wedding cupcakes or favours over complimentary tea & cake!
We will work with you to ensure that the colour, decoration and style of our cupcakes meets your requirements, and you can give us as much or as little guidance as you like.

Prices & delivery
- Prices start from £1.85 per cake and are dependent on design and decorations
- We offer delivery throughout the North West of England for a small charge which is dependant on location
- Our minimum order for weddings is a dozen cupcakes or brownies. Please ask us about minimum orders for other items
- We would ideally request at least 2 weeks notice on all wedding orders to ensure we produce the perfect cakes for your special day
Stand hire
Stand hire ranges from £10-£30 (depending on the size of stand you opt for – we have lots of stands for lots of different occasions!). An additional £40 deposit is required which is fully refunded on safe return of the stand.
Celebrations, Events & Birthday Cakes
At ‘and the dish ran away with the spoon’ we love a good knees-up, and we are always looking for an excuse to get cake in on the party. We regularly provide our range of brownies, cupcakes, layer cakes and other treats for corporate events, birthdays, hen dos, christenings & even marriage proposals!
